Dulse - or söl in Icelandic - is a red sea algae that grows on the northern coasts of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and has long been used in the coastal areas where it naturally grows. Our dulse comes in flake form. Some describe the taste of dulse as umami with a smoky and salty aroma, which becomes especially prominent when fried.
