This bitter herbal blend is composed of 11 selected herbs according to Maria Treben's recipe for making Swedish Bitters. The composition of the herbs is carefully put together with knowledge of nature's pantry.
In Europe, hardly any other herbal blend has survived as long through the ages as Swedish Bitters. It was forgotten for centuries, but rediscovered by the Austrian herbalist Maria Treben when she came across a 250-year-old manuscript.
In this book by Maria Treben, there are, among other things, 46 good pieces of advice about Swedish Bitters.
Use of the herbs:
Empty the herbal mixture into a two-liter bottle along with 2 x 0.7 liters of alcohol. Let the bottle stand for 14 days in a warm and bright place. Shake the bottle once a day. The liquid should be strained after 14 days, then the Swedish Bitters are ready for use. For internal use, take 1 tsp in water or herbal tea morning and evening according to Maria Treben's recommendations.
vermouth, angelica root, manna, theriac, Venetian, silver root, senna leaves, rhubarb root, carline thistle, myrrh, natural camphor, saffron. 90 g.
Usage Bring water to a boil and add the powder. Then immediately reduce the heat and let the water steep until it has a dark golden-brown color. Those who want to try a more complex method that extracts the maximum from the chaga should place it in water at a temperature of 65 degrees Celsius and let it simmer gently for 4-5 days. This also preserves the proteins, sterols, and enzymes in the mushroom. Chaga has a natural "vanilla-like" tone, similar to rooibos tea, mixed with notes of forest.

About us – pH-balans
At pH-balans, we work with the body's own ability for inner balance. We are inspired by nature's rhythms and the body's self-regulating mechanisms – especially the role of oxygen in supporting equilibrium and vitality.
Our products are based on natural raw materials and carefully selected to support the body's own processes rather than control them. We see mineral balance as an important key to a life in harmony – from the inside out.
