Our whole rosehip powder contains wild rosehips of the Rosa Canina species, with seeds, pulp, and peel, dried at room temperature to preserve as many vital nutrients as possible.
The rosehips are mostly picked in Macedonia, Germany, and other parts of Europe. We strive to keep transport distances as short as possible for environmental reasons.
Rosehip is one of the most vitamin C-rich sources known, containing up to 60 times more vitamin C than citrus fruits. Just one hectogram of dried rosehips contains 270 mg of vitamin C.
Rosa Canina, or Dog Rose, grows wild along the coastlines in countries like Denmark and Sweden, so it's perfectly possible to pick them yourself during the season. The bushes thrive on nutrient-poor soils such as on hills, in thickets, and along roadsides. There are similar edible rosehips in inland areas as well.
Usage
Consume 1-3 tablespoons/day, the powder can be mixed into juice or sprinkled over yogurt. Do not heat it! You can make a delicious smoothie from rosehip and our blueberry and nettle powders, together with flaxseed oil and juice! 📌 Rosehip Balls – an energy snack loaded with rosehip powderContents
